Coronado Trail - 2026
May 5
To Page, Arizona

Clint and I pushed this trip from March to May because we were concerned about the weather. Imagine how I felt when I got up that morning to see it raining outside.

It cleared up in southern Utah county and we continued our way towards Highway 89-A and the Vermillion Cliffs

Riding through Marble Canyon was great but coming up to the Vermillion Cliffs was something else

We made a detour to Navajo Bridge then kept on towards Page

After we checked in and ate dinner we did a quick run to Horseshoe Bend. This place is Insta-famous now.
May 6
To Phoenix

We left Page after a quick breakfast and made our way south. We made a quick stop in Flagstaff for lunch at a place me and Kiernan went to a couple years back.

We were originally going to make our way towards Prescott Valley. Apparently there was some construction and heavy delays on 89 the entire way there. I had a "feeling" my stomach wasn't going to make it there after that lunch so we turned back and hopped on the Interstate where I knew there'd be ample places to stop if needed...
May 7
To Tucson

We had dinner with my and Clints sisters that evening and then the next morning I left towards Tucson via Route 77 while Clint stayed behind another night. I visited with another sister, making sure to take plenty of kitty photos.
May 8
To Hannagan Meadows, Arizona

The plan was to meet Clint in Safford. I made my way in the morning from downtown Tucson, making sure to feed a gas station kitty while I was at it.

After an early lunch we made our way to highway 191 - formerly US Route 🤘666🤘- the start of the Coronado Trail!

We made our way through the mining town of Morenci. While Clint was probably super excited about all the mining stuff I was freaked out that I was gonna spill riding over all the gravel.

We got out of Morenci and made our way up the road...

... Where we came across this overlook

We made it to Hannagan Meadows
May 9
To Page

We got up and headed out early, skipping breakfast at the lodge. We made our way north, stopping in Pinetop-Lakeside for some breakfast

We made our way through Hollbrook in order to jump on I-40 for this leg of the trip

As we left Hollbrook the TPMS alert went off. I pulled to the shoulder to see what was wrong. Turns out it was bad. We had just barely passed an exit by a few hundred feet so we both pushed the bikes back and then slowly made our way to the top of the off ramp. It was Saturday afternoon and no bike shops were open in Hollbrook. One was open in Flagstaff but they didn't have the tire I needed and wouldn't be open again until Tuesday. The Honda shop in Page had the tire and even said they'd stay late and/or come in on Sunday to get the tire back on. So I had the bike towed to Page. 200 miles. This could have gone a lot worse - I lucked out for sure. Clint made a leisurely ride back, grabbing some photos we wanted to get on the way down.
May 10
To Home

After yesterday I was just happy to be making it home. We left Page and made our way north. Clint was going to take US-6 to Utah Lake and head back that way. I just continued on the Interstate until home. Even with the tire issue this was a great trip. Check your tire tread, boys and girls.
